Monday 1 June 2009
The 2009 competition is officially the biggest ever with more than 26,000 children and over 200 schools taking part.
Since the competition launched at the end of September 2008, excitement has grown all over the UK with primary and secondary schools eager to get involved and take part.
One of the first schools to sign up was St Josephs Primary School in Putney, London. Teacher Teri Costello explains why:
“We’re delighted to support the Young Pavement Artists Competition, especially as environmental awareness plays a big part of our school life. We’re pleased to be involved in raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.”
The entry deadline for entries to this year's competition is 13 June 2009, so if you're speedy there's still time to enter.
