To support and encourage schools involvement in the Young Pavement Artists Competition, we have produced a series of lesson ideas. These can be used to help inspire and educate young people on a variety of animals, plants and extreme weather patterns.
The resources are free to download from this website and have been created for teachers or group organisers to either use as a standalone lesson, or as a series to use through the spring and summer 2010 terms.
They can also be used by community and youth groups looking to inspire young minds.
This factsheet is designed to help children understand about the muscles in the human body and the part muscles play in movement and strength. We have also included some information on muscle disease and the impact it has on the human body.
These factsheets include animals, plants and extreme weather conditions that demonstrate Strength in Nature. There are evolutionary facts, key strengths as well as habitat and reproductive facts to inspire young minds.
These factsheets from National Geographic Kids are designed to help children learn about some specific animals, plants and extreme weather. They can also be used to promote discussion about how all three interact with one another on Earth.
These factsheets and lesson plans from our 2009 competition have proved so popular we are keeping them active. They explore the problems faced by endangered animals and can be downloaded here.
